What is DVSC?
Denbighshire Voluntary Services Council is an independent local charity that supports the development of the Third Sector in the county – charities, social enterprises, voluntary organisations, community groups, co-operatives and other volunteer based grass roots organisations that benefit the people of Denbighshire. Our services include:
- Providing information, advice and support regarding funding, governance and other key issues
- Promoting and supporting volunteers and managing volunteering, sharing good practice and providing training and projects
- Helping third sector organisations to engage with public sector and other stakeholders, to influence policy, funding and services, ensuring the needs of communities are represented
- Specifically working in partnership on Wellbeing themes, including Dementia support
- Identify local issues and represent community needs to policymakers
- Working in collaboration with other agencies to develop new projects
