Hours: This job is flexible to cater for the needs of the centre and the market hall.
This is a part time/casual post and the number of hours worked will depend on the lettings booked across each week and their duration.
Days/Times the Centre is Open:
Monday to Sunday
Daytime: 8am to 4pm
Evenings: 4pm to 11pm
Duties include:
- All general caretaker, cleaning and maintenance duties and to ensure high quality hygiene standards of the centre
- To ensure the centre is opened as required, locked after use and to oversee general cleanliness of the premises is always to a high standard.
- To assist all hirers with any queries while onsite and ensure smooth running of the centre.
The successful candidate will ensure the cleanliness, safety and security of the centre and car park during the letting period. It will include supporting with putting up and taking down of the market stalls in the Market Hall. This will include carrying out a light clean of the rooms and facilities used after each letting as required.
You will be the central point of contact for hirers and visitors using the facility, resolving any issues if they arise or contacting relevant staff to address any problems. A polite and professional approach is essential when dealing with customers.
At the end of each booking, you would lock up the site ensuring the building is secure and protected by the alarm system.
The role will be for 10 hours a week initially including Saturdays.
