Health & Wellbeing

DVSC supports the Health Board and statutory partners in a variety of projects, engaging in regular conversations with the Third Sector, sharing Health Board and statutory objectives and building a collective strategic direction.

We do this in a number of ways:

  • Facilitate effective working practices and relationships with Third Sector organisations, as part of the Health and Wellbeing agenda in Denbighshire but ensuring broader engagement where appropriate across North Wales.
  • With an overarching view of health and social care, we engage with the Health board and Local Authority to see where links can be made to complement services and support the creation of natural pathways between statutory and non-statutory services.
  • Represent the Third Sector health and social care services and their voice at various meetings.
  • Support new organisations to make links with organisations that have similar themes and aims enabling them to broaden their contacts and increase their impact.
  • DVSC facilitates the Denbighshire Wellbeing Network. This is an open meeting for third sector organisations, Denbighshire County Council, other public sector organisations and Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board to share insights, information and ideas on local, regional and national initiatives. It provides an opportunity to raise issues and explore opportunities for joint working and meaningful collaborations.

Additionally we run the Dementia Aware Denbighshire project to support local communities across the county to work together to ensure people living with dementia and their carers have access to the services and personal support that they need.  For more information Click Here
