DVSC is pleased to announce that in partnership with Denbighshire County Council a Voluntary Organisations Grant has been released.
This fund is aimed at locally based third sector organisations who have a good understanding of the culture, language and demography of Denbighshire. Priority will be given to organisations who are able to offer services in both the Welsh and English language.
The grant should support citizens in sharing their experiences, supporting each other and having a voice on the things that matter to them, preferably citizen led.
There is an expectation that applicants will be able to demonstrate how they will remove barriers for those with protected characteristics. Also a knowledge, experience and proven track record of championing groups that they represent.
Applicants will need to demonstrate understanding of the principles of safeguarding.
Priority Groups
It is important that the following are represented:
- Parents of people with complex disabilities
- People with complex disabilities
- Older people
- Carers
- People with neurological conditions
This is not an exclusive list.
Grants for individual projects are available for the financial years of 2023-2024 and 2024-2025. You can apply for one or two years of funding. The total funding available for all grants per annum is approximately £160,000. While there is no ‘cap’ on individual grants that will be awarded, it is anticipated that grants will typically be in the small-medium range. Applicants should bear in mind the range of outcome areas that we are looking for with this fund, and be advised that local authorities are under increasing financial pressure, so greater scrutiny will be required for higher value bids.
