Workshop: Improving traffic in Rhyl Town Centre

Denbighshire County Council has been exploring options to improve how traffic and people move around Rhyl Town Centre.  With a focus on improving:

  • Traffic routes between the A525 and the Seafront

  • Traffic routes between A525 Vale Road and Morley Road car park

  • Directional signage to parking

  • Reviewing on-street parking provision including time limits

  • Increasing options for paying for parking including app-based methods and considering methods for payment at end of parking stay.

  • Pedestrian and cyclist links between the seafront and the Town Centre – especially at the top of the High Street.  As well as improving pedestrian and cyclist facilities around the town centre generally.

Having undertaken a period of research and traffic modelling proposals for the future have been developed.  We are in the process of engaging with stakeholders and the community to obtain feedback on our proposal.

To give you the chance to have your say I am contacting you to invite you to attend a workshop session at Clwyd Chambers (Clwyd St, Rhyl LL18 3LA) on Thursday, 2nd May between 9.30am and 12noon.
