Before Christmas we announced the lucky winners of our Autism Awareness Community grant funding, part of our #AutismAware Winter Progamme. Further resources can be found at DVSC and on the ‘Can you see me’ campaign.
Start your New Year off with a bang and get yourself Autism Aware, follow this link to the ASD Info Wales site, and take the online questionnaire to receive a fabulous ‘Autism Aware Certificate’.
Share your certificate with us either through Social Media, Facebook, Instagram and @DVSC_Wales or bring it into our Community Hub, Naylor Leyland Centre, Well Street, Ruthin, LL15 1AF and meet the team.
If you need a little help filling in the questionnaire, why not visit Open Doors on a Friday between 1pm and 3pm, this is volunteer led group that offers support, advice, information and further learning opportunities. All are welcome, even if you just fancy a cuppa and a chat.
As part of our campaign and awareness raising DVSC will be hosting two outreach events to showcase the digital information available and the great work and initiatives being enabled through DVSC’s #Autism Aware Community Grant programme. About the #AutismAware Campaign
DVSC ran a successful #AutismAwareness engagement and fund distribution campaign in March 2018 with the previous Integrated Autism Service (IAS) funding. Following on from this DVSC was successful in gaining further funding to build on this with scaled up activity in 2018-2019 which is enabling enhanced service delivery to coordinate awareness raising events, training and outreach to the communities of Denbighshire underpinned by a social media engagement campaign.
Now we are launching our #AutismAwareWinter Community Engagement campaign, involving social media and physical outreach, enhancing and developing the scope and information made available with the previous funding.
