8.10.18 Launch of Reading Well: Dementia scheme
Reading Well Books on Prescription provides accredited and helpful reading to support health and wellbeing. The scheme is endorsed by leading health partners and delivered in public libraries, with the support of The Reading Agency working in partnership with the Society of Chief Librarians, Arts Council England, Welsh Books Council and Wellcome Trust.
The scheme is being rolled out across libraries in Wales over the next two years, beginning with Reading Well for Dementia, in support of the new Dementia Action Plan for Wales.
Join us in Libraries Week to launch the scheme in Denbighshire at Denbigh Library on Monday October 8th at 2.00pm, and to hear from Michelle Foster, the publisher of the Pictures to Share books which are a core element of the booklist. Please share this invitation with anyone you think would be interested. Would you be so kind as to let me know if you are planning to attend?
