DVSC Membership

By becoming a member of DVSC your organisation will:

Have the right to be fully involved in planning the work of the Council
Have free advice on issues which are of concern to the voluntary sector
Have the opportunity to meet with other organisations with similar interests
Receive invitations to courses/conferences, appropriate to your organisation, which are organised by DVSC and other organisations at a reduced fee
Receive a free copy of each publication of the bi-monthly "Volunteer in Denbighshire" giving up to date information of interest to voluntary organisations in Denbighshire
Receive an invitation to DVSC's AGM and be entitled to vote

On local facilities, venues, sources of equipment
In a bi-monthly newsletter providing information relevant to the voluntary sector

Funding advice and information:

Details of available sources/computerised Funderfinder service/how to complete an application
Training courses/information seminars

Organising/Signposting low cost training courses:

Topics include: accounting/book keeping (SORPS), working with volunteers, management and legal issues, committee skills, volunteering, equality issues, administration skills etc.

Management and legal advice:

Representation and joint working:

Identifying issues of concern to member organisations
Representing these concerns to decision makers and working together to achieve effective outcomes
Ensuring effective voluntary sector involvement in joint planning
