The Welsh Church Act Trust

The Welsh Church Act Trust was established in 1914 following the dissolution of the Church in Wales from the Church in England. The proceeds and assets, were distributed evenly amongst the former County Councils in Wales and further divided between the Unitary Authorities with their establishment in 1996.

The Fund generates approximately £5,100 per annum for distribution and, therefore, it is not possible to make substantial payments. Grants normally average £300 and are available for purchase of capital items and running costs.

Applications for financial assistance from the Fund are invited from groups and organisations operating within the County of Denbighshire. The Grant Committee will meet at least four times a year, thus ensuring that groups/organisations do not have to wait too long to hear whether or not their application has been successful.
